hello friends;
nice to see you all and wish you a very Happy Xmas.
Friends I want fluency in English.For that from where I have to start ..some people are saying that you should concentrate on your vocabulary.Some say you start reading news papers.Yeh I know these activities will help me but I want you people opinions. thank you in advance..

Dear friend,

I feel increasing vocabulary wont be of much help in improving fluency in spoken english. Reading books and newspapers will definately give you ideas about the construction of textual as well as conversational sentences of various moods. But, again I would say it wont be of much help if and only if you don't do practice of spoken english. If you want to be strong in spoken english either you have to speak or you have to listen conversations. So, I will give you suggestion to start from watching english movies/cartoons or interviews/news broadcast in western TV Channels. While watching them, try to follow the accent and usage, and start talking to yourself. After few days you will realize that you are sounding better and you will be more confident about your ability. Thats the start! Let us know how you are improving. Good luck!
