Red face Which is better???

"Did you take any drugs or medications for your fever to bring it down?"

Is this sentence correct?
I think the following is better.

"Did you take any drugs or medications to bring your fever down?"

Which do you think is better?
Any advice or opinions will be appreciated.

Because the subject of 'to bring it down' is 'your fever',
'to bring itself down' is gramtically correct.
What do you think?
