Exclamation Linguistic marker

Find the definition, function, examples or stated rules of the following :
  • Linguistic markers
    • Cause and effect
    • Compare and contrast
    • Classification
    • Definition
This is what I got from my teacher for my assignment.
I've searched about linguistic markers everywhere but
I couldn't find any info about it.
