Default Correct sentences

Dear Teacher

1. Any of the two books is useful.
2. Either of the two books is useful.
3. Either book is useful.

Which are the correct sentences?

Thank you very much.

Best regards

Default Re: Correct sentences

I would choose the first variant but the best is the forth one: ''Both books are useful''.

Default Re: Correct sentences

I wouldn't use any when there are only two items.

Both implies that neither book is useful by itself, so I wouldn't use that.

There isn't much difference between your sentences numbers 2 and 3, I would use either of them.
