Default does this sentence sound ok in english?

A year ago things stood the other way round - the inflation exceeded 5% and banking interests stood below 5%, also influenced by the intervention interest practiced by The National bank, which led to real negative interests.

First, write inflation exceeded, not 'the inflation exceeded'. The determiner the is defining. If you use it, you have to mention what kind of inflation you're talking about; e.g., the inflation rates mentioned earlier.

Second, you don't need a dash (-). Try a period or a colon,

Ex: ...other way round. Inflation exceeded...
Ex: ...other way round: Inflation exceeded...

Third, the last bit, also influenced by intervention interest practiced by the National bank doesn't modifying anything. As is it leaves the reader asking, "What was also influenced?"

Hope that helps.
