Question teaching vowels and teaching stress

dear teacher
i am a MA students working at a thesis entitled the rule based teaching of vowels and stress... i need a plan 4 ny study 'coz really i fel that i am lost..also i need a clarification of:
1. teaching vowels
2.teaching stress
3. what each of them ought to involve..
i do need some explanation on each to set it in the theoritical part of my study... which can be applied in the practical side of the study ...i do hope i will hear from you soon.
