Indian English
Verbs are also used differently, with speakers often dropping a preposition or object altogether: 'I insisted immediate payment'.

I think that the sentence "written in Italic" (is it correct to express it like this?) misses the presposition "on", am I right?
What does "dropping a preposition or object altogether" mean? Does it mean that leave out or omit prepositions or objects?

Try,
I think that the sentence written in italics is missing the preposition on.

Right. The speaker or writer leaves out or omits a word.

Re: Indian English
Thank you, Casiopea! Epecially for the correction - you know, I can improve my English only by being corrected, in my opinion.
Same to you, Happy New Year! :)
(Just feel free to correct me - I'd be pleased to be corrected!)
