In the sentence below, do I need the "To?" I thought it might not be necessary, but it sounds a bit odd without the "To."
In the end, we didnít treat this school project as big as we originally tried to make it (to) be.
It doesn't need 'to', but the sentence doesn't read very well to me; I would say something like:
In the end, we didn't treat this school project in as big a way as we had originally planned.
