Are these sentences correct:
1-Yesterday I brought in the chairs because it could have rained.
2-Yesterday I walked very slowly because I could have fainted.
3-Yesterday I was playing very carefully because I could have lost.

As Mike noted, they are all grammatically correct. However, they are not very natural English sentences. I suggest:
- 1. Yesterday I brought in the chairs because I was afraid it was going to rain. (Or: because it looked like it was going to rain.)
2. Yesterday I walked very slowly because I was afraid I was going to faint.
3. Yesterday I was playing very carefully because I was afraid I was going to lose.
What do you think?
