I agree with TDOL. The prepositional phrase "in any other way" is an adverb. As such, we tend to attach it to the nearest verb or verbal. In your sentences, it sounds as if it attaches to "playing" instead of the intended "benefit".

I don't completely agree. Because of the "in any other way", it is unlikely that the questioner wanted a one word answer, even if the first instance. :wink:
