Sentence type, grammatical structure
What type of sentence is 'I have been chased by someone'? Is this sentence grammatically correct?
How does the sentence 'I was chased by someone', differ from 'I have been chased by someone'?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Re: Sentence type, grammatical structure
It is correct, though I would get rid of 'by someone' as it doesn't give us much useful information. The present perfect shows that the chase was recent, so it could be used to explain why someone is sweating and gasping for breath. The past is used for something that has no conection with the present- I was chased yesterday.
