Re: why english is used as international language ?
A question that has been debated for many, many years. There is no easy answer, but considering that Britain once had an empire that encompassed 75% of the globe, therefore exerting influence on the great majority of the inhabitants of the planet, and further, being such anexpressive language, it really is no surprise. Is it?

Not always. Some letters aren't normally pronounced in English. For example The word "apple" has 5 letters and only 3 sounds in it. But the same word in Armenian has 5 letters and 5 sounds in it. ( kn n dz o r ).

Re: why english is used as international language ?
because learnig english does not need that much of hard working as german or french.
as you know, german has a lot of SH/CH/X
french has Q and spanish and italiano have E at the end of every word.
another reason is that engsh is used in many many many countries over the world.
and the third reason, if Italiano (for example) was the universal language, again everybody wondered why italiano is the universal language :D
