| I have been scratching my head to understand what the following phrase means: "the patients are predominantly indigenous" Does that mean the patients are pretty much alive? I looked up the words predominantly and indigenous, and I cannot understand what the phrase meant Any help would be appreciated |

| It means that most of the patients come from families that have lived in the area for many generations. |
