Are the following sentences correct?
1. Drape the curtains properly.
2. Put the curtains right.
3. Slide the curtains.
In the dialect I speak, sentences 1 and 3 are fine; sentence 2 is more idiomatic (put something right) than standard.
My wife's always telling me to 'put the curtains right.
Also you can say 'draw the curtains'
Reminds me of the old joke:
A man went to see a psychiatrist:
Doctor what's the matter with me? I think I'm a set of curtains.
Doctor: Pull yourself together!
