Who is Mr. Trickle?

Hello,

At a coffee shop(like Starbucks), a highschool boy and a girl
are watching a menu.

Boy: You know who wants a smoothie?
Girl: Who?
Boy: Mr. Trickle.

The boy is apparently making a joke, but I fail to understand
what is so funny about it.
Who is Mr. Trickle? A guy of "The Reporter" or "Hunter" played
by Joe E. Tata?(maybe not). And why is it funny??

Could someone please help me laugh at the joke?

Was this in a British English context? Are you sure about the r?

There was a very successful childrens' book series based on 'the Mr Men'. One of the characters was called Mr Tickle. :: MR. MEN AND LITTLE MISS ::

There was a spin-off series based on characters called 'Little Miss adjective'. 'Little Miss' characters were used in the marketing for dairy-based drinks (yogurt, fromage frais, maybe smoothies too). The joke may have something to do with this. I don't see what though.

I should've mentioned this, but it's an American drama.

As you said, it must be "Tickle" as the boy is making a gesture of
tickling her.
Thank you for showing Mr. Tickle and other characters.
They are so cute!

Or he might be saying "Mr. Jekyll"(You know, my ears are so unreliable). But it may be wrong as he has nothing to do with tickle or smoothie.

That'd make more sense in a boy/girl situation. There is a novel/short story (I'm not sure which) called Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde ... come to think of it, you must know already, as you got the spelling right. Maybe the boy is threatening the sort of uninhibited (sexual?) behaviour typical of Mr Hyde. (I don't know where the smoothie fits in though.)

In that case, could "smoothie" mean something different from drink, then?
Could it be women, perhaps?

Somebody sat down and transcribed an entire episode of The O.C?

*blinks*

The internet is mad.

But here's a thing. The website with the script on it is French. It's possible that the insane transcriber misheard the line, and put "Jekyll" instead of "Tickle".

This is from another website (where somebody is describing the same episode of the show):

Danny asks if Summer knows who wants a smoothie, and then shrieks that "Mr. Tickle" does; out come the tickle hands.

Since he tickles her, "Mr Tickle" makes more sense than "Mr Jekyll" (who in any case was a Doctor, not a Mister, thank you very much).

It still makes no sense at all, of course. Unless, as BobK noted, the joke is a reference to some long-forgotten advertising slogan that involved the Mr Men.
