Question Inside one

From Jane Walsh, "Not like this" (again!)
"In summer we never noticed the travelling backwards and forwards, but in winter - with only a slice of bread and margarine and a cup of weak tea inside one for breakfast - it was almost unbearably cold."

This inside one concerns me. Wouldn't be enough just to say inside?

It would probably be confusing then as to whether the "inside" referred to the speaker's inside or the inside of the speaker's house. "inside one" makes it clear.
