| I would try to avoid questions that encouraged respondent bias, so instead of asking them directly whether they intended to stay or leave, I'd ask them how they see their future with the company. |

| How often do you call in sick- I would change this to '(How many times have you/Have you ever called in sick since you've been working here?' as the question would allow somoene to give a general statement about sickness rather than specific information. How do you feel coming to work in the morning? This question could easily get biased answers- if the person thinks the questions might influnece their chances of working permanently, which the previous question suggests is a possibility, then they could try to give the answer they think you want to hear. Describing relationship with manager- the same could be the case here; how about asking them an additional thing such as what they would change about the way things were managed, which forces them to suggest an improvement, so their answer will not be just trying to please the questioner. Also, how about some additional written questions with rating 1-5 so that you can compare data across respondents on common terms? |
