I'm waiting for your reply (We know this, please don't include it since it's a tiny bit rude.) | I hope you don't mind my corrections.
The best thing you can do to learn how to understand english people when they speak is to practice. Listen to more basic messages and conversations at first, and then when you feel comfortable with those, continue listening to more difficult ones.
Here are some websites I found when i googled "english listening": Randall's ESL Cyber Listening Lab Listen to English around the World. BBC Learning English | Home page English Listening Resources - Englishpage.com TESL/TEFL/TESOL/ESL/EFL/ESOL Links - ESL : Listening
Hope this helps! |

| | Re: listening english weeknes Hi, Farooq,
You have really made too many mistakes in your post, but don't be discouraged, practice and learn, learn and practice. You shouldn't neglect reading and writing, everything is important and interconnected.
I'd recommend a lot of reading aloud.
If you could afford private lessons, it would be the best.
Cheers |

Instead of searching for websites to improve your pronunciation, you can alternatively listen to TV News channels like BBC,CNN for British and US accents respectively.
All the best... |

| | Re: listening english weeknes Hi all, I think that a grammar book is a good choice instead of keeping focused on "listening" only. Your listening will get better gradually as you are living in UK. I'm not a teacher but I do believe studying grammar is the best way to have solid skills in English and it will help you so much. |
