    Cool over the top

(1)to go over the top, (2) to do overdrive or to make overdrive or to overdrive ( I'm not sure which one is correct, and (3) to go overboard; do all these three expressions have the same meaning and can be used interchasngeably ? The rough idea that I can have of allthe three expressions is "to overdo something". Am I correct ?
