In the sentence below does the use of 'so' negate the necessity of using 'have'
The computer was broken, so she done the calculation by hand.

I don't know why you would use have there in the first place.

The above sentence could be expressed as:
- The computer was broken; because of that she did the calculation by hand.
As you can see, when you use so you replace three words with one. It's economical.

The computer IS broken, so she HAS DONE the calculation by hand.;-)
