Please explain about no longer with some examples:
No sooner did I reach the station, than the train started.
No longer, would I assume the guilt of intoxicated boys in the company of intoxicated girls everywhere.
In these sentences, what are the roles of “did I reach” and “would I assume”? Why?
In first case, Can we use “as soon as” style?
