Red face Job application letter

1) Are there websites with Job application letter + CV in different scenerios? I target in making a letter hoping my application would be kept for future opening as my contract for current job is due on certain date.

2) What does CV stand for?

3) Are there websites with phrases and sentences for making job application letters?

It's urgent. Please help.....

There are tons of sites out there, Ju. Here's one to get you started. Click on the link below and scroll down to where it says Resume Resources. There are a great number of sample cover letters and resumes to look at.

2) What does CV stand for?
A curriculum vitae (singular), meaning "course of one's life, is a document that gives much more detail than does a resume about your academic and professional accomplishments.

3) Are there websites with phrases and sentences for making job application letters?
It's known as a cover letter and a resume, not an application letter.

A quick note in case you haven't already guessed, Ju: Resume is a noun, with three syllables, not the verb with two syllables (meaning 'take up again after a break') that you may have met elsewhere:
I went to school at SomeSchool until 1985, spent a year travelling the world, and then resumed my studies at the University of Somewhere.

In BE, usually people say 'CV' (unless they're applying to a multi-national or foreign-owned company, when they slip into using the more internationally recognized 'resume').
