Default did a desperate escape

I'm not sure that I did a desperate escape.

I know the phrase of "have/make a narrow escape",

but can I say "do a desperate escape"?

Pls, tell me. THANKS!

I'm not sure an escape can be called "desperate", but an attempt to escape can be. "Do" does not work there.

I made a desperate attempt to escape.
