we are doing an english project about idioms and i need help figuring out what
slow boat to china and born yesterday means....ITS URGENT!

"A slow boat to China" is something that takes a very long time. I think it's from a song about a man who wants to be alone with a woman for a very long time "...on a slow boat to China."
"Born yesterday" means naive, lacking knowledge of the way way people will try to fool you or manipulate you.
"Don't try to tell me your dog ate your homework. I wasn't born yesterday."
