Smile My fingers were nipping.

My fingers were nipping?

What does that signify? Is it equal to say:
My fingers were pinching (at me)?

Thanks.

Thanks, Anglika, for your concern and help. Indie's fingers were cut by the sharp edge of paper when doing the origami. Later on, she uttered, "My fingers were nipping."
Thanks.

As with your other query, the narrator is saying that she is getting these sharp little pains when she moves her fingers.
