woman/women pilots?

Which is correct:
1-woman pilots
2-women pilots

I would opt for "women pilots". ;-)

How about female pilots? ;)

I only thought of that because I was recently asked if we should say 'Fifty woman teachers' or 'Fifty women teachers.

I told them 'Fifty female teachers' would be a better choice. :)

Compound nouns with people normally use the plural with men and women, but the singular with lady. ;-)
