| | get cut off from the rest of the group During the climb, it's important that we stay together. If you get cut off from the rest of the group, stay where you are until we cam and find you.
This isn't written by a native speaker, and I wonder the line in bold is idiomatic and makes sense to you. if not, how would you say it?
Thanks. |

It seems ok to me.
It means that you get separated from the rest of the group. You find yourself alone because you were left behind or for some other reason.
stay where you are until we cam and find you.
...until we come and find you.

For example The whole village was cut off by flooding; She lives abroad and feels very cut off from her family
Are you convinced now? |

Thanks, queenbu, for the double assurance and check with which I won't feel cut off from the rescue of the world. |
