Default Abstract Nouns

Abstract nouns are the names of ideas, conditions, qualities, attributes. How can I tell the difference between ab attribute and an idea?

An attribute is something about someone or something. Talent is an attribute. An idea is a thought, notion, or concept. I might think it is a good idea to see a movie this afternoon. My thought that MNY or Tdol is better at grammar than I am is an idea.

Does that help?

:)

As Ron said, an attribute is something that describes someone.

Tallness, smallness, deepness, darkness, etc. would all be noun attributes.

Abstract nouns that are in the area of concepts/ideas would be freedom, liberty, justice, equality, art, etc.

Qualities would be strength, beauty, poise, stamina, etc.

Conditions would be sanity, poverty, health, etc.
