It's not a genre I've heard of, but it sounds to me quite possible - heavy metal with particularly aggressive lyrics.

- that makes sense. It could be an analogue of the (originally AmE I think) hate-crime - in which the 'hate' refers particularly to racial hatred.

While I was roaming around looking thinmgs up, I came across an astonishing number of subsets of Death Metal. Wiki has this list:

* 3.6 Brutal death metal
* 3.7 Death/Doom
* 3.8 Blackened death metal

* 3.11 Other fusion genres

I particularly relished the idea of 'Progressive Death Metal'. Can you reead this sentence?

However, Scandinavia (particularly Norway) is more notorious for its quantity of black metal as opposed to "true" death metal, though Gothenburg in Sweden is regarded as the capital of melodic death metal, leading melodic death metal to be named Gothenburg metal by many, and "Gothencore" for the bands more noticeably influenced by metalcore.

Reading it made me feel like FE Smyth's judge- no more in the light, but better informed.
