Making out a cheque
My memory is deteriorating as I can’t get the wordings correctly in grammatical sense in figures when I make out a cheque.
e.g.
400 - a) Four Hundred Only
- b) Four Hundreds Only
405 – a) Four Hundred and Five Only
- b) Four Hundreds Five Only
45.67 – a) Forty Five cent Sixty Seventy
- b) Forty Five cents Sixty Seventy
-
--->OK
Four Hundred and Five Only
--->OK
Forty Five cents Sixty Seventy
Yes, say forty-five cents, but I don't understand the rest.

Don't use 'hundreds' after another number. We use it alone- there were hundreds at the concert last night.
