Default [question]How to acknowledge an e-mail?

Dear teachers:

When teachers or school mates sent me e-mails about work or whatever, what should I write to tell them that I've received the information and I'll do it?
I always write "Understood!!" or "Received!!". But it seems a little odd.
Are there any proper expressions? Please help me.

Regards.

There are no standard or "proper" responses, actually. You can always just reply and say "OK!" and add a smiley :). Or say something like "Gotcha!" or "I'll get right on it!" if it's something that requires action by you.

I use 'wilco' (= will comply) if it requires action.
