firstly I am 18 and I am from Turkey
and I want to know which one is true:

a) I stay at home or I am staying at home
b) I work in York or I am working in York

All four choices are correct, but the present progressive (...ing) tense has more of a temporary feel.

I am working in New York (at the moment).
I work in New York (always and forever).
