About 'prepared'
When I was reading a dialogue this morning,I saw the word 'prepared' in the sentence 'I mean, I love pretty much everything he does, but, nothing, nothing could have prepared me.'. I think I have leaned the word before but here I don't know what his meaning is.Please help me sir, thank you.
Apart of the dialoge
Mason: I had no… I thought it was gonna be a lot more dramatic. I didn’t think it was just gonna be this kind of really outrageous comedy. Uh, Steve Carell I love.
Kevin: He’s good.
Mason: I mean, I love pretty much everything he does, but, nothing, nothing could have prepared me.
Kevin: There you go.

Re: About 'prepared'
I was not expecting what I saw- nothing that I know of him and his work had prepared me to expect what I saw.
