    Default Weather

    Hi,
Please tell me which of these are more common – a)s or b)s?
    a) The weather is fine today
    b) It’s fine weather today.
    a) The weather was nasty yesterday.
    b) It was nasty weather yesterday.

    I personally favour a)s.

    Thanks.

Why not? I have come across them in books and everyday conversations many times. I myself use both. It depend on the situation.

I vote for sentence a, but if weather is omitted in both of sentence b, I reckon they sound equally fine.
