Talking 261-from my part

hello all

i was watching the movie (the lord of the rings, the two towers) and in one part,
Faramir asked Frodo: are you a friend of Boromir?
and Frodo replied: yes, from my part.

what does (from my part ) mean?

regards

Mathilde

If you remember the story, Frodo is carrying the Ring, and Boromir tries to take it from him. What Frodo is implying is that Boromir was not entirely a friend to the Fellowship of the Ring, and Frodo in particular, but that Frodo bears no resentment and regards Boromir as his friend whatever the circumstance of Boromir's errors.
