"To be a cog in the machine" means to be part of a large organisation or system.

"To have a bad hair day" is just an idiom meaning to have a bad day!

Thanks, britbelle, for the feedback, and now I see I'm just a cog in the well-oiled and reliable machine.

Most of all, to hear from you is absolutely not a bad hair day for me.

A "bad hair day" is a day when your hair absolutely won't cooperate no matter what you try to do with it. If you want to curl it, it will remain straight. If you want to straighten it, it will stubbornly remain curly. If you fluff it up, it will go flat within minutes. So you usually just give up and slap a baseball cap on your head.

    Amen to that!

By the way, a monk will never worry about his bad hair day.

I'm not insinuating a monk is smarter than Einstein.
    Never have that in mind.

No. I know. On the subject of follically-challenged, Einstein's hair looked as if it were trying to escape.

Yes, I concur. if it really did, then he would have revealed the whole truth of the universe like Buddha did two thousand and five hundred years ago.

I think Einstein's "hairstyle" inspired Don King.
