I am looking at the dictionary for the different idioms relating to "finger". I then learn the names for our five fingers: thumb, index finger (forefinger), middle finger, ring finger and little finger.
I just wonder if there are corresponding names for the "fingers" (sorry, I don't know the right word for it) on our legs. Thanks.
I think I knwo what you mean. The counterparts of five fingers for toes in Chinese are:The big toe. second toe, third toe, and forth toe, and little toe; however, I've never heard of the English counterparts.
I'm also eager to know the answers offered by a native speaker.
Hello Confused ( mochaichai )
They are "toes"
Big toe, second toe ( also called pointer toe or index toe ), third toe, fourth toe and lastly the fifth toe.
There could be medical terms for them but we simply call them toes.![]()
Oh, yes, TOES! I got it. Thanks a lot.
