Default post a posting

Hello,
please tell me about this.

This is about posting on the Internet discussion board.
Do you say "post a posting" or do you use other verbs or nouns?
For example,
"I read it in the posting just after she posted it."

I think that ENLs have a tendency to avoid repeating the same word [post] in such close proximity, PD.

post a new thread // write a new post // post a reply

"I read it in the thread[posting] just after she posted it."

Thank you for the quick reply, riverkid!
What does ENLs stand for?

My dictionaries have only "Eldorado Nuclear Limited" and "erythema nodosum leprosum".
"English as a Native Language" doesn't seem the case, either.

Oh, I see!
I didn't notice "speakers" come after ENL, and was wondering why there is "s" while "English" is singular.

Thank you again, riverkid!

Hi, riverkid.

Just to make sure of a tiny thing, there are a few expressions such as:

1. He lives a good/happy/dog and cat's life.

2. I dreamed a sweet/horrible dream.

And I don't feel odd when I come across:

3. He posted a nice/bad post.

What is your prized opinion?
