Default Re: a din of hacking and gouging

Pirates fighting, or Knights?

din: a continued loud or tumultuous sound; noisy clamor.
hacking: To cut or chop with repeated and irregular blows: hacked down the saplings.
gouging: to dig or force out with or as if with a gouge: to gouge out an eye.
