Talking 266-daughter/girl

Hello all

I want to say that Mr. X married 3 times with 3 girls who didn't have married life before, and marring with Mr. X was their first experience. Which of the following forms can I use to say this sentence?

Married 3 times with 3 … …, it looks like Mr. X is no stranger to the attention of leading loving ladies.

a) daughters
b) girls

Regards

Matilda

If the girls died or divorsed him one after the other, I would say Mr. X likes green leaves.

If not, I would say he's a bigamist.

You could use 'maidens' there, but 'girls' is probably enough.

Why do you prefer "maiden" over "virgin" TDol ?

The two are synonym of each other.

Not quite. A virgin has never had intercourse, a maiden has never been married.

'Maiden' also seems more discreet.

My dictionary says otherwise though

maid-en (madn)n. 1. An unmarried girl or woman. A virgin.

vir-gin (vurjin)n. 1. A person who has not experienced sexual intercourse. 2. A chaste or unmarried woman; a maiden

This thread is interesting, but I'm stumped by the sentence in bold? Please shed some light, someone?
