I'm often confused by 'wish' and 'hope'.
I wish I receive the same sorts of responses later.
Should it be 'I hope to receive the same sorts of responses later' ?
I wish you a speedy recovery. (correct)
I wish you recover soon. (Is this correct?)
Or should it be 'I hope you recover soon' ?
Please give me a few examples of the usage of 'wish' and 'hope' so that I'm very clear about how both words should be used?
Thanks in advance.
In your example, I would say 'I hope I receive...'.
I wish you a speedy recovery.
I hope you a speedy recovery.
I wish you recover soon.
I hope you recover soon.

Thanks, Tdol, for the thread.
I've posted another question relating to a sentence in that thread.
All the best
