Default English usage

Hello

If I use the sentence "Thank you for the clarification" is it right? If yes then how does the sentence agreement work, if not which is the right one? and why is it right?

Can you please help me out on this?

Thanks a ton

Yes. "Thank you for the clarification" is perfectly good.
