Hi,

Can I say a baffled man instead of a confused man?

Hello ieasy

A baffled man stands in front of a door which his key no longer opens.

A confused man stands in front of two doors and doesn't know which door he should attempt to open.

It's because the verb to baffle is shown as a synonym of to confuse in the dictionary. Thanks a lot.
