intrinsic?
"Each hand is made up of 27 bones...all of these make possible movements intrinsic to our daily lives, such as oppositional thumb, rotating wrist, and gripping strength."
1. What does it mean by "intrinsic to our daily lives"?
2. What is "oppositional thumb"?
3. Doesn't it sound strange to say "movements...such as ... gripping strength."? ("Gripping" is a movement but not "gripping strength".)

1. inherent part of our everyday life
Each hand is made up of 27 bones...all of these make possible movements intrinsic to our daily lives, such as oppositional thumb, rotating wrist, and gripping strength
It is just a bad sentence
gripping strength is used when squeezing a lemon.
oppositional thumb? hand skills used for delicate movements

1) Intrinsic means part of the nature of something, inherent. Getting wet is an intrinsic part of swimming. It is not a very good word to use here.
2) Oppositional thumb is what makes humans and monkeys so dexterous It just means that out thumb can touch (oppose) our fingers, enabling us to hold things. Try to imagine life with no thumb! It is more usually referred to as an 'opposing thumb', or 'opposing digit'.
3) You are right, and an oppositional thumb is not a movement either. The writer of that sentence is quite amateur. He gives three examples of movements made possible by the 27 bones in your hand: two of them are not movements and the third is not part of the hand!
