Default Improving English Vocabulary

Hello everyone,

I am a non-native speaker interested to boost my word power. I have tried so many ways to increase my vocab but i find it very difficult to memorise those words. I presume, it is because i just memorise the words without using it. Therefore, i would like to try this new technique. For example let say new word for today is scrupulous. Perhaps, each of us could form a sentence based on that word and discuss whether the word is being used in correct way. Well, we have a teacher here to assist us, haven't we? :):) Hopefully, at the end of the day, everybody could benefit from this.

Scrupulous - careful , conscientious, cautious
As a finance manager he has a duty to handle the preparation of accounts scrupulously

I hope to get a response from all of you.

Great, thanks for the response. Shall we proceed to other words?

Laconic - using few words; expressing much in few words; concise:
The lawyer gave a laconic reply to the reporters when asked about the development of murder case at Bayu Beach.

Pls correct my sentence if it does not grammatically correct. Thank you

The US President Calvin Coolidge was famous for being laconic- when someone said they had a bet that they could get three words out of him in an evening, he said, 'You lose.'
