Default What is the difference in meaning? Thank you, teachers!

What is the difference in meaning between:

How about you?

and

What about you?

Many thanks for the advice, teachers! ^o^

They carry the same meaning in my dialect of English. "How about you?" means, "How do you feel about that?" and "What about you?" means, "What do think about that?"
