I could really use some help with the exact meaning of the expression "sell tail", since I read it on "the bluest eye".

Now, I know it revolves around prostitution, but I'm not sure if it means all kinds of prostitution, or if it literally means the selling the "behind".

I know this may sound a little awkward, but this is an honest question
