Is there a difference between:
1-I like sitting here.
2-I like it sitting here.
(2 could mean I like it (something) TO BE SITTING here. That is not the meaning I have in mind.)

It is difficult to avoid the meaning that you don't intend with #2. One could create a similarity to #1 with voice inflection and/or gestures, but it is easier to just use #1 to express that someone likes sitting in that place.
