perfect tenses

Hi

regard using perfect tenses, i need to check....

1- I had eaten an apple before went to school ( this mean two verbs in past but we use past perfect for the first action and past simple for the second action), is this is right?


2-I have eaten an apple (when can i use this tense?)

1. Your first use is correct, but there is an "I" missing before "went".

2. That is the present perfect tense. It is used for actions that were completed in the recent past or for actions completed in the past that still have relelvance in the present. For example, If someone offers you an apple, you might reply "I have (already) eaten one."
