Which one is an object in this sentence
1. She was pushed by the mob.
In this sentence which one is an object. According to my understanding, object is a person or a thing that is affected by the action of the verb. Here the verb is push and since mob is the one who is pushing and therefore mob is subject and She is an object. Please correct me if I am wrong.

You are right. Although the object of she is her you cannot start a passive sentence when it begins with a pronoun with its object form:
Her ......
You have to change it to the subject mode which is strictly speaking odd. When the object takes the place of the subject for reasons implied in passive the pronoun has to be changed to its subject mode.

Thanks Jamshid for replying.

"She" is still functioning as the subject of the sentence:-)

It formally becomes the subject in passive but it is not the agent. The agent (the doer) ie the subject is the mob. She is "done to" ie the victim.
